The sun rises after 6 here, unlike in Malaysia which only rises after 7. Just as well, as I was waking up around 5-ish in the morning back home, a habit I practised for a reason and couldn’t undo.

So that means I’ve had about 4 hours’ sleep, because I went to be around 1. I woke up around 5-ish, but only got out of bed after 6. Which is very unusual of me (to sleep at 1, that is) because back home I feel like dropping dead anytime after 11!

So, my first night here… didn’t sleep well, naturally, since the air-con was switched on. I get the chills easily but there isn’t a fan in the room, not that SL would want to sleep with just the fan anyway. There’s only one pillow. I like lots of big, fluffy pillows surrounding me, and this one was flat and limp. But I didn’t mind that I’m sleeping on a single bunk bed, considering that I’ve been used to sleeping on a low queen-sized bed.

Just made a cup of coffee after boiling water with the kettle brought from home. Yeah, that’s what I’ve been filling my luggage with, as well as food! I’ve unpacked the minute I got into my hostel room. I love my spot. Under my bunk bed are cupboards and shelves, all for me. SL has he own closet, shelves and writing table. My writing table is next to the bed, just bside the window. And under my bunk bed are my shelves where I put my stationery and food. It looks like a pantry and I just love that.

The writing table has two drawers, one locked and the other not. I put my money into the locked one and knick-knacks in the other.
